The Great Ocean Road is a coastal highway located southwest of Melbourne, stretching approximately 240 kilometers. It begins at Torquay and ends near Warrnambool. Construction of the road began in 1919 and was completed in 1932, serving as a memorial to those who sacrificed their lives in World War I. The Great Ocean Road is considered one of the "most beautiful scenic drives in the world" and is one of Australia's three major attractions (along with the Great Barrier Reef and Uluru).
